What’s the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall was issued on June 30, 2020, and affects 2014-2017 Ford F-150 pickups equipped with 3.5L Ecoboost engines.
These trucks were sold with a brake master cylinder that may leak brake fluid into the brake booster, potentially causing a change in brake pedal travel and feel, increased pedal effort and reduced front brake function. Any of these conditions can increase the risk of a crash, NHTSA said.
Consumers who purchased an F-150 pickup truck that is affected by this recall should stop using it immediately and contact their Ford dealership for a free inspection and repair.
Ford’s Recall Number for these vehicles is 20S31.
