What's the Problem?
This NHTSA Recall began on Nov. 16, 2020, and affects Ford replacement Brake Pedal Brackets, part numbers FR53-2455-AA and FR53-2455-AB.
"The brake pedal bracket may fracture during sudden stopping," NHTSA said. "A broken brake pedal could affect braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash."
If you purchased brake pedal brackets that are affected by this recall, you should stop using them immediately and contact Ford for a free replacement.
Ford's number for this recall is 20S55.
