What’s the Problem?
This CPSC Recall affects 4-drawer chests with plastic drawer glides sold by Transform under the Essential Home brand and identified as the “Belmont 2.0” model. The products were manufactured in Brazil and imported by Sears Holdings Management Corp., of Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
The manufacturer’s name, “Kappesberg Moveis,” and model number “F214” can be found on the instruction manual that came with the chests. Affected dressers were sold exclusively at Kmart stores nationwide and online from March 2018 through April 2020 for about $60.
Consumers who purchased a recalled dresser should stop using it immediately unless it is securely anchored to a wall and contact Transform to receive a free anchoring kit and a free in-home installation.
