What’s the Problem?
This CPSC Recall began on October 21, 2020, and affects:
- Crate and Barrel Danish White and Natural Tall Bookcases (SKU 325982)
- Crate and Barrel Danish Walnut and White Tall Bookcases (SKU 325943)
“The bookcase can collapse when fully loaded, posing an injury hazard,” CPSC said.
The recalled bookcases were sold online and at Crate and Barrel stores nationwide from June 2017 through January 2020 for about $300.
The cases have 4 shelves and measure approximately 60 inches tall by 32 inches wide with a 2-tone white and wood finish. There is a label underneath the bottom shelf with the words “Crate and Barrel,” the SKU number and the name of the product on it.
Consumers who purchased a recalled bookcase should stop using it immediately and contact Crate and Barrel for a refund.
