Latest Updates
On May 14, 2026, Cosyland Official announced a voluntary recall of its children’s tower stools in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1]. Approximately 125,200 units are affected. A class action lawsuit investigation is now underway on behalf of consumers who purchased the recalled stools.
What Products Are Affected?
The recall covers two models of Cosyland-branded children’s tower stools:
- Cosyland Children’s Tower Stool, Model CS0003
- Cosyland Children’s Tower Stool, Model CS0092-4
The tower stools were sold in natural bamboo and gray finishes, and measure approximately 16 inches deep by 18 inches wide by 35 inches tall. The brand name “COSYLAND” and warning labels are visible along the top rails. The affected stools were sold exclusively on Amazon.com from April 2021 through November 2025 for approximately $70 each.
What Is the Hazard?
The recalled tower stools present two distinct and serious hazards to young children. First, the stools can collapse or tip over while a child is standing on them, posing a fall hazard. Second, the openings on the front and back sides of the stool are large enough for a child’s torso to pass through, creating a dangerous entrapment hazard that can result in serious injury or death if a child becomes trapped and cannot free themselves.
Incidents and Injuries
Cosyland is aware of 25 reports involving stability issues and falls associated with the recalled tower stools. Of those incidents, eight resulted in injuries ranging from scrapes and contusions to a fractured arm.
What Caused the Recall?
The CPSC determined that the tower stools are defective in two respects: the structural design makes them susceptible to collapse or tip-over during normal use, and the openings in the stool frame are large enough to allow a child’s torso to become entrapped. Both defects render the product unsafe for use by young children. The stools were manufactured in China and imported by SuzhouGongYeYuanQu Wan Yi Shen Jia MaoYiShangHang, doing business as Cosyland Official.
What Should Parents Do?
Parents and caregivers who own the recalled Cosyland children’s tower stools should stop using them immediately and keep them out of reach of children until they have been repaired. Cosyland Official is providing a free repair kit that includes protective nets, stabilizing feet, and installation instructions. The company will mail the repair parts directly to consumers at no charge.
To request a repair kit, consumers may contact Cosyland toll-free at 866-677-3889, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT, by email at customerservice@cosyland.com, or online at www.cosyland.com/pages/recall.
Can I File a Lawsuit?
Parents who purchased the recalled Cosyland children’s tower stools — particularly those whose children were injured due to a tip-over, fall, or entrapment — may have significant legal options. A class action lawsuit could allow affected families to seek compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and other related losses. Contact an attorney to learn more about your rights and whether you qualify to participate in a class action investigation.
