What’s the Problem?
This CPSC Recall began on Feb. 10, 2021, and affects about 3,700 Bowflex SelectTech™ 2080 Barbells with Curl Bar.
“A weight plate can fall from the end of the barbell, posing an impact injury hazard,” CPSC said. “Nautilus has received one report of a weight plate falling off the end of a barbell, causing property damage.”
The recalled barbells are black with a red “Bowflex” logo on the weight selector dial. The storage tray is marked with the word “Bowflex” and its logo in the center.
The products were sold online and at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Nebraska Furniture Mart, and Play It Again Sports nationwide from June 2020 to July 2020 for about $550.
Consumers who purchased a recalled Bowflex barbell should stop using it immediately and contact Nautilus for a free replacement kit. Nautilus will ship a kit to consumers who purchased the barbells directly from the company.
