What’s the Problem?
This recall affects Belecoo 535-S convertible baby strollers sold in black, pink, blue, khaki and gray colors, according to the CPSC Recall Notice.
The strollers were recalled by North Woods General Store LLS, d/b/a A Better You!, because they violate the federal Carriages and Strollers standard due to a potential manufacturing defect.
A child’s torso could pass through the opening between the activity tray and the seat bottom and his/her head can become entrapped, CPSC said. Additionally, the location of the crotch restraint creates a large opening between the seat bottom and the restraint, and it could become detached, posing a fall hazard.
The recalled strollers were sold exclusively on Amazon.com between January 2019 and March 2020 for about $200.
Consumers who purchased a recalled stroller should stop using them immediately and contact A Better You! for information about how to obtain a refund.
The CPSC Recall Number for this item is 20-755.
