On May 14, 2026, World Bright International Limited announced a voluntary recall of the Agio Menlo Woven Patio Swing in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) [1]. Approximately 18,500 units are affected. The recalled swings were sold exclusively at Costco retail stores and online at Costco.com.

What Products Are Affected?

The recall covers the Agio Menlo Woven Patio Swing, Model No. 1934256. The swing features a black metal frame and swing arms, a fabric canopy, and a padded seat in brown outdoor wicker. The frame stands approximately 75 inches high, 71 inches wide, and 48 inches deep, with a swing seat approximately 58 inches wide and 19 inches deep.

The affected swings were sold at Costco retail stores and online at Costco.com from February 2026 through March 2026 for between $549 and $649. Consumers who are unable to confirm whether they have the recalled model can contact World Bright International Limited directly for assistance.

What Is the Hazard?

The swing seat can detach from the swing frame while in use, posing a serious risk of injury or death from a fall. The defect involves the S-hooks that connect the swing seat to the frame, which can open and release the seat unexpectedly during use, causing occupants to fall suddenly to the ground.

Incidents and Injuries

World Bright International Limited has received eight reports of the swing seat detaching from the swing frame. All eight incidents resulted in injuries, including impact injuries to the head and arms.

What Caused the Recall?

The recall was initiated after the company identified that the S-hooks used to suspend the swing seat from the frame can open during use, allowing the seat to separate from the frame without warning. The remedy involves replacing the existing open S-hooks with new S-hooks equipped with a safety clasp to prevent unintended release. The recalled swings were manufactured in China and imported by Costco Wholesale Corporation of Issaquah, Washington.

What Should Consumers Do?

Consumers who own the recalled Agio Menlo Woven Patio Swing should stop using it immediately. To receive a free repair kit consisting of replacement S-hooks with safety clasps and installation instructions, consumers should contact World Bright International Limited.
