What’s the Problem?
This FDA Recall began on Feb. 15, 2021, and affects all lots within expiry of Adam’s Secret Extra Strength 1500 and Adam’s Secret Extra Strength 3000 capsules to the consumer level.
The recalled supplements may be contaminated with undeclared sildenafil and/or tadalafil, prescription medications used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED).
“The presence of sildenafil and/or tadalafil in Adam’s Secret Extra Strength products makes them unapproved new drugs for which the safety and efficacy have not been established and therefore subject to recall,” FDA said.
sildenafil and tadalafil belong to a class of drugs known as PDE-5 inhibitors that can interact with nitrates in certain prescription medications, lowering blood pressure to dangerous levels that could be life-threatening.
Adam’s Secret Extra Strength is packaged in blister foil sheets containing 10 capsules each, and distributed via Internet sales at www.adamssecret.co.
Consumers who purchased any recalled Adam’s Secret supplements should either discard them or return them for a full refund.
