What’s the Problem?
The Swiss Rolls are sold under the following brand names: Mrs. Freshley’s, Food Lion, H-E-B, Baker’s Treat, Market Square, and Great Value. These products were sold at major grocery chains across the U.S., including Walmart, H-E-B, and Food Lion.
The company is also recalling its Captain John Derst’s Old Fashioned Bread from stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
To date, no salmonella infections or other illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
Can I Participate in a Class Action?
Our lawyers have decided against filing a class action lawsuit over salmonella infections alleged from Swiss Rolls or Captain John’s Old Fashioned Bread. It has been our experience that in this type of litigation, class actions are often a detriment to many class members, as they are often forced into “lowball” settlement agreements in an effort to speed things through the litigation process. We always seek to obtain the maximum possible payout to our clients, which is why we are only filing individual swiss bread lawsuits at this time.
