How do Cynosure Lasers Work?
Cynosure laser systems are designed to tighten and firm the skin while improving overall texture. The 2 devices — the Cynosure Apogee Elite and Cynosure Elite MPX — work by directing a beam of light directly into the skin and stimulating mass amounts of collagen.
Vaginal Rejuvenation FDA Warning
FDA sent a letter to 7 different medical device manufacturers indicating they were improperly marketing their lasers in an “off-label” fashion, which is putting women’s health at risk due to the devices not being adequately studied for these purposes. The lasers are being promoted for “vaginal rejuvenation,” cosmetic medical procedures intended to treat vaginal dryness, itching and laxity.

Why Our Law Firm Is Filing Individual Cynosure Lawsuits Instead of a Class Action
Although we are a nationally recognized class action firm, the Medical Devices Litigation Group at our law firm has decided against the filing of a Cynosure class action suit and is currently filing individual claims on behalf of women who were harmed after undergoing vaginal rejuvenation laser treatment. We decided on this course because it has been our experience that class actions in this type of litigation often results in disappointing payouts and higher attorney fees to the client. At Schmidt & Clark, LLP, our goal is to maximize compensation for injured parties, which is why we are only filing individual Cynosure lawsuits as opposed to a class action.
