What’s the Problem?
February 16, 2017 – This recall affects Veggie Noodle Co. Butternut Spirals packaged in 10.7 oz clear plastic containers with a UPC Code 852287006059 and an “Enjoy By” date of February 23, 2017. These products were distributed to Whole Foods Markets and other retailers in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin.
If you purchased any butternut spirals included in this recall you should not eat them, and either discard or return them to the point of purchase for a refund. No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
What is Listeriosis?
Listeria food poisoning, or listeriosis, is a severe infection caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. The disease typically affects children, the elderly, and adults with weakened immune systems. Signs and symptoms of listeriosis include:
