More Ice Cream Brands Recalled for Listeria Contamination
The cookie dough responsible for the Blue Bunny ice cream recall was distributed by Aspen Hills Inc. of Garner, IA., and is the same product that forced Blue Bell Creameries to recall its Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Blue Bell Cookie Two Step ice cream. Two other companies, Chocolate Shoppe and Publix, have also issued recalls for ice cream products over similar concerns. The problem is likely to get worse before it gets better, as Aspen Hills distributes to dozens of companies that may soon be forced to issue recalls of their own.
